Spooks of Haworth is housed in a building with a rich history. Before becoming a bookshop, 22 Main Street was an indoor market, a painter and decorator's shop (Whittakers), as well as a home.
Established in 1983 by Stan and Shirley Ledgard, Spooks was created to be a welcoming space where the mysteries of the spiritual world could be explored without fear. The shop’s unique blend of books and spiritual supplies aimed to demystify the unknown and provide comfort and guidance to those seeking it.
Today, under the ownership of Kate Hustler, Spooks continues to uphold its original ethos while expanding its offerings. Kate has introduced a wide selection of crystals, gifts, and modern spiritual tools, ensuring that Spooks remains relevant to today's spiritual travelers.
Managed by Riana, the dedicated team at Spooks is always ready to share their extensive knowledge and enthusiasm for all things esoteric. Additionally, the building now features a charming holiday let above the shop, popular among visitors to Haworth.
