Haworth's Best Restaurants
The Hawthorn
The Hawthorn Restaurant, a so-called 'Georgian gem' in Haworth, is renowned for its high-end British gastropub cuisine.
The restaurant is Georgian-era in style with local antiques, including Barraclough clocks, paying homage to John Barraclough, the clockmaker to the Brontës.
Their Sunday roast, joint first in Rate Good Roasts' awards, is so popular that bookings are filled months in advance. Other items on their menu include seafood, burgers, and steaks cooked on a Josper grill. They also have vegan and gluten-free dishes.
Pavé
Pavé is a charming restaurant and deli offering fine meat and cheese from local and continental producers.
Their menu highlights charcuterie and cheese boards, complemented by home-cooked recipes, perfect for enjoying in the bistro with a glass of wine or craft beer.
Inspired by gastro trips to Europe, the owners of Pavé emphasise simplicity and a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant sits at the top of Main Street with outdoor seating to enjoy the atmosphere. Customers can also purchase ingredients to create meals at home.
Haworth Old Post Office
The Old Post Office restaurant serves British and European cuisine, collaborating with local and independent farmers and suppliers.
The menu features delicious plates for sharing, including hummus, baked goat's cheese, tiger prawns, steak chili, and more. They also offer a separate brunch menu with breakfasts and sandwiches, plus a selection of wine and beer.
Historically significant, this building was the Post Office used by the Brontë family to post their manuscripts and collect mail and payment.
Old Sun Inn
One of the best pubs for food in the village, the Old Sun Inn popular for its Sunday roasts, including its large platters for two.
The menu features pub classics such as their signature steak & ale pie, scampi, and lasagna. The halloumi fries are a personal favourite of mine!
Cloth Store
As much a place to chill out as it is a restaurant, the Cloth Store is the place to go for tequila and tacos.
Spread across two floors, the restaurant serves Mexican food and chicken wings, while the bar stocks all kinds of beers, wines, spirits, and plenty of cocktails. They also host regular events, including vinyl evenings.
Haworth Old Hall Pub
Haworth Old Hall Pub, dating back to 1621, offers a traditional yet cosy environment with old-fashioned decor and log fire to unwind with friends and family.
Their menu features traditional pub classics such as fish and chips, steaks, and a mixed grill. Vegetarian and vegan options also available.
You can enjoy a selection of cask ales, gins, and wines. Sundays feature their celebrated 'Slow Sundays' with roast meats and seasonal vegetables.
Hunters of Haworth
Hunters of Haworth offers handmade savoury pies and sweet cakes using traditional recipes and locally sourced ingredients.
Their selection includes steak & ale, chicken & wild mushroom, and steak & stilton pies, all made with fresh ingredients for a delicious, flaky crust.
Pre-booked afternoon tea is also available. Customers can enjoy takeaway or seating upstairs, ensuring a cosy dining experience.
